Discover Columbus: Christopher up close and personal

Posted by on Oct 2, 2012 | 1 comment

I visited the Public Art Fund project atop Columbus Circle yesterday. After waiting a good half hour past my ticket entry time, I got my ten minutes with the statue up close and personal.

It’s a strange idea, but it’s interesting. You pretty much never get to reach out to touch a statue that looms high over head, so the idea of seeing this piece of stone at eye level is startling.

And the view outside ain’t bad.
